1. BulletEntrance exams  A placement test is given on the first day of each module.  The placement test includes the following:  a one-hour test of writing and grammar editing skills, a personal interview, two tests from the MELAB including the listening portion and the multiple choice portion.

  2. BulletQuizzes   Every teacher has the option to give short quizzes between midterm and final exams.  These quizzes may be announced or pop quizzes (unannounced).

  3. BulletSpeaking tests  When students are working in groups or with a partner during their vocabulary class they may also be tested for their speaking ability at the teacher's option.

  4. BulletPronunciation tests  Pronunciation tests may be given when students are working in pairs or groups during reading class at the option of the teacher.

  5. BulletMidterm exams  Every class gives a comprehensive midterm test which includes all material covered in the class up to that point.

  6. BulletFinal exams  Every class gives a comprehensive final exam which includes all information covered on the midterm test as well as all information in the class up to the final.

  7. BulletExit tests   Students must pass an exit test at the end of level 2 which is a comprehensive test of all material covered in levels 1 and 2.  Students in level 4 must pass a comprehensive test of all material covered in levels 1, 2, 3, and 4.  Students in level 5 will be given the entrance exam again and must pass with a level 6 score.
